Hiring React engineers from abroad in Dubai: we checked Ziina
Real Gulf frontend jobs open to Moroccan engineers, checked before we post them. First up: a React and Next.js role at Ziina, Dubai, with sources.

This is the first post of a new kind on this site: real frontend and mobile jobs in the Gulf that are open to engineers in Morocco. Not a job board. Few roles, on purpose, and every one of them checked before it reaches you.
How a role gets here:
- Pre-selection. An AI agent reads the careers pages of Gulf tech companies and picks out the frontend and mobile roles, in any stack: , React, Vue, iOS, Android, Flutter.
- The role check. Open today on the company's own page. No "nationals only" rule. The work mode is clear: remote, hybrid, or on-site with relocation. A real role with a real stack, not a "join our talent pool".
- The company check. Licence, funding, product, who leads engineering. Every fact has a numbered source, like everything else we publish.
- The team read. The TT Tech team reads the result before it goes out. Whatever we could not confirm is said plainly, so you know what to ask.
The first one is in Dubai, and the posting says the line that matters most to us: "based in, or open to relocating to, the UAE".
The role
| Role | Full-Stack Engineer (Internal Tools) |
| Company | Ziina |
| Work mode | On-site in Dubai. Open to people "based in, or open to relocating to, the UAE"; relocation support not mentioned |
| Stack | React, Next.js, , with Node.js and Nest.js on the backend |
| Experience | 4+ years of full-stack work |
| Salary | Not stated |
| Visa sponsorship | Not stated. Ask in the first call |
| Checked | 3 November 2026: open on Ziina's own careers page, full-time, no nationality restriction |
The work: build and extend the tools Ziina's own teams use, and help bring its back-office platform in-house. That means internal workflows, integrations with the third-party back-office tool they use today, and the permissions, safeguards and audit trails around sensitive operations.
Who is Ziina?
Ziina is a payments company from the UAE, founded in 2020. The 2024 coverage of its Series A names Faisal Toukan, Sarah Toukan and Andrew Gold as founders. A 2026 profile names Talal Toukan as the third co-founder instead, and says he leads engineering. For you as a candidate, that last line matters: engineering is led by a founder.
It started as a peer-to-peer payments app and moved into payments for small businesses: payment links, a payment gateway and QR codes for shops. Today it also offers Tap to Pay and a Visa card.
Is it solid? Here is what we found:
- Licensed. Ziina holds a stored value facility (SVF) licence from the Central Bank of the UAE. A fintech without a licence can disappear in a month. With one, it is regulated.
- Funded. A $22 million Series A in September 2024, led by Altos Ventures, with Y Combinator, Avenir Growth, Activant Capital, FJ Labs, MEVP and Jabbar Internet Group.
- Growing. Forbes Middle East ranks it 35th in its Fintech 50 for 2026, with 342,100 active users in the UAE in December 2025 and transactions up more than 200% in 2025.
- Expanding. Part of the Series A money was meant to grow in the UAE and to explore other markets in the region, including Saudi Arabia and Jordan. Expansion usually means more hiring after this role.
What we could not confirm
- Salary and visa. The posting mentions neither. It is open to people relocating, but it does not say who pays for the move. Ask both questions early.
- Total funding. Forbes Middle East lists $65 million raised to date. The 2024 coverage put the total at just over $30 million after the $22 million Series A, and we found no later round announced, so we cannot tell you where the rest came from.
- Team size. We found only estimates from data brokers, none from Ziina itself, so we leave them out.
- The founders. The 2024 coverage names Andrew Gold as a co-founder; the 2026 profiles name Talal Toukan instead. We could not find out why.
Should you apply?
If you have four years or more of full-stack work, ideally with React, Next.js and TypeScript, are comfortable on the backend, and would live in Dubai: yes, I would. A licensed, funded fintech that writes "open to relocating" in the posting is exactly the door many of us look for. Apply on Ziina's own page, never through someone who asks you for money.
This post is not sponsored. We checked the posting and the company; the rest is between you and them.
